Christmas at Chilworth has come a long way since the children used to sell 50 trees in front of the house!
To meet the ever-growing demand for our trees, this year we're creating more space and giving you more time to enjoy festive glogg, hot chocolate and wine produced from the very vines you're looking at, available at our pop-up bars.
We'll have a treasure hunt for the children and of course the alpacas are there to add to the festive spirit. You'll be pleased to know we also have more parking!
Buying a Christmas Tree has always been a special day at Chilworth Manor. This year will be the first time for the event to be hosted at the vineyard.
You will still be greeted with a warm drink and Christmas treat on arrival, but you’ll also have the opportunity to enjoy a glass of fizz or Glogg from our (covered) pop-up wine bar, browse our festive gift collection and enjoy the views over the vineyard. Rest assured, festive photos in front of the House and the Watch House can still be taken!
Feel the echoes of Chilworth’s rich layered history this Christmas. As the voices of the 11th century Chilworth monks used to be raised in plain song, now we have invited Porter to perform at the vineyard and lead us into a sing along of well known Christmas songs.
Enjoy warming Glogg, Chilworth Manor Sparkling wines and pizza to help you kick start the festive season.

Daphne, Lady Heald - who, with her husband Lionel, took over Chilworth Manor in 1946 - was Chairwoman of the National Garden Scheme for 30 years. Chilworth Manor has continued to support the National Garden Scheme Open Gardens since 2008.
You can come and explore the 18th century terraced walled garden, topiary, herbaceous borders and ancient ponds whilst enjoying Chilworth Manor Brut Rosé, still Rosé and Classic Cuvée, served by the glass or bottle at our pop-up bar.
Chilworth Manor’s long standing charity event, Picnics & Pimm’s is now Picnics & Pinks.
The event has been run for 13 years and has raised almost half a million pounds for charity. Chilworth Manor Vineyard has now taken over the running of the event with the continued support of Chilworth Manor. Don’t worry, though, everything else stays the same – you’ll still enjoy your picnic in the beautiful grounds of Chilworth Manor with music from two great bands. Naturally the bar serves Chilworth Manor Vineyard’s sparkling wines and still Rosé.
