Picnics & Pinks
Midsummer Music for Local Charities
Midsummer Music for Local Charities
We’ve been running these events for 15 years and have raised almost half a million pounds for charity.
Chilworth Manor Vineyard has become an integral part of this event, producing and supplying the "Pinks" in the form of still and sparkling rosé.
Our fully-stocked bar will be serving these pinks alongside our white sparkling classic cuvées. We really encourage you to support your local vineyard by enjoying these wines rather than bringing any from home.
Each night you’ll enjoy your picnic in the beautiful grounds with music from two great bands.
Thanks to our suppliers, performers and volunteers we are able to support wonderful local charities - the charities benefiting from our 2026 event are Parkinson's Guildford, Shalford Infant and Nursery School, and Home-Start Guildford.
So come and have a fantastic evening for a worthwhile cause, where your enjoyment will also benefit the charity for the evening. We will not expect you to give any more on the night!
For your diary: the 2026 dates are
Thursday 25th June | Friday 26th June | Saturday 27th June
To make sure you hear information about this and our other events, please join our mailing list.
As this is a charity event, tickets are non-refundable
From previous experience, the demand will be high, but keep trying!
To give more people a chance of buying tickets, we have set the maximum number of tickets available to buy in one transaction at 6 (this is lower than previous years).
Tickets will stay in people’s baskets for 10 minutes if a transaction is abandoned, or released immediately when transactions are cancelled. As a result, the available ticket inventory fluctuates until all the tickets are sold. Please have the names of the people in your party to hand, as you will be asked for these during the booking process.
Charity event
Enjoy a wonderful evening for fantastic causes
Join us in the beautiful walled garden of Chilworth Manor
The gates open at 18:00 and music will start at around 18:30, event finishes around 22.15
Please feel free to bring a picnic, tables, chairs and blankets. We ask that you please take your left-overs and rubbish home with you.
There is no need to bring drinks with you, as Chilworth Manor Vineyard wines (sparkling and still rosé), red and white wine, beer and some soft drinks and water are available from the bar.
The car park is in a field about 100 metres from the gardens. Please note car parking tickets must be purchased in advance as parking spaces are limited. We encourage you to share a lift.
If it rains, please bring an umbrella - the show will go on! As this is a charity event we do not offer refunds.
During the evening you are welcome to wander around the gardens at your own risk. This is a very old garden with many uneven steps and drops which can get slippery, so please take care moving around. There are also ponds and a pool, so children need to be supervised at all times. Children are of course very welcome, but need a full-price ticket.
There is limited access for wheel chair users and a wheel chair accessible toilet on site.
No dogs or pets please. There is no access to the house. Please respect cordoned areas, this is a private home.
