All of the grapes that go into our vintage wines are grown on our 10 acre vineyard. Our drive is to produce quality rather than quantity, reflecting all that Chilworth Manor embodies. We produced our first wine from the 2016 harvest and introduced it as our "First Step" Rosé to the local community in the gardens of Chilworth Manor during the summer months of 2017.
We brought our first wine to market at the end of May in 2017. Both our 2017 and 2018 vintage sold out very quickly. We now look forward to bringing you the 2019 vintage Rosé after another successful harvest.
We expect to introduce our first quality Sparkling Wine in 2021.
Chilworth Manor Rosé 2019
Chilworth Manor Rosé 2019 is a Provence style rosé offering fresh strawberries and cassis nuances on the nose. It has a rich palate and velvety texture and is made from Pinot Noir (51%) and Pinot Meunier (49%) grapes, all handpicked in 2019 and gently pressed.
In keeping with the spirit of Chilworth Manor, every bottle sold allows for a donation to Mary's Meals providing a daily meal for a week to a child in a Malawi school. This year we also donated 20% of all online sales proceeds to the NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Urgent Appeal from the time of the release of our 2019 vintage Rosé until the end of May.
