Chilworth Wine Festival - Saturday 28th June

Timings: 3-8pm
Come and enjoy an afternoon and early evening of live music, delicious street food and Chilworth Manor Wines.

In celebration of English Wine Week, we will be hosting two free vineyard talks and a separate guided tasting featuring one wine from each of the Vineyards of the Surrey Hills (VoSH) which will be ticketed (tickets for this talk are limited and will be available to ticket holders in due course).

Adults will receive a complimentary glass of wine on arrival (ticket holders will be contacted with details on how to claim your free drink) and children over 5 will receive a complimentary soft drink.

You’re welcome to bring a chair or blanket to relax and enjoy the afternoon among the vines as there will be limited seating. We kindly ask that you don’t bring outside food or drink, as we encourage you to support our fantastic local food vendors, and all our wines will be available to purchase at the bar.

Children are welcome but they must be supervised. There will be a children’s trail with prizes.

  • Entry to the festival between 3pm – 8pm
  • A complimentary glass of Chilworth Manor Wine for adults (or non-alcoholic drink) or a soft drink for children. Ticket holders will be contacted with details on how to claim your free drink
  • Free talk by one of our team about the Vineyards of the Surrey Hills. Talks will take place at 3.45pm and 4.45pm
  • Free children’s trail (with prizes)
  • Live music from two fabulous bands
  • Access to great, freshly prepared food from the Surrey Pantry, and ice cream from Godalming delights
  • Free access to Winston’s Walk – a self-guided walk around the vineyard with points of natural and historical interest (using QR codes to deliver information at each stop)
  • We will provide some seating, although there will not be enough for everyone so please bring picnic blankets and seats with you if you can so you can make yourself comfortable

Is this suitable for families?
Although our experiences are really for adults as they include wine, children are welcome but they must be supervised. Being a working vineyard, there are some hazards including wires at the end of vines and some areas where small children could climb through and fall, so it is important that children are supervised by a responsible adult. There will be a children’s trail available for kids to enjoy (with prizes) along with great food, music and ice cream.

What if the weather is bad?
This is an outdoor event, so please come prepared for the weather and bring umbrellas and raincoats if the forecast is bad as we will go ahead if wet. If the forecast is awful, we will provide some shelter, but due to the numbers of people involved, it won’t be possible to provide cover for all.

What if I don’t drink alcohol?
There will be non-alcoholic drinks available.

Can I bring my dog?
No, sorry.

Is the ground uneven?
The vineyard has some uneven areas so please wear sturdy footwear if you would like to walk through the vineyard.

Will there be vegetarian food available?
Yes, the Surrey Pantry will have a range of delicious, freshly prepared food available all afternoon which will include some vegetarian options.

What if I need to cancel?
We can't offer refunds, unfortunately. If you find you are unable to attend, please feel free to give your ticket to a friend or family member who can.
