12 pm and 2.30 pm
The Vineyard Talk will be taking place in our new field just above the existing vineyard, as the building works on our Tasting Barn are still going on. Find out more about the progress made in the vineyard, including the newly installed frost protection system, new tasting barn and new field, followed by a Vineyards of the Surrey Hills Wine Tasting in the gardens of Chilworth Manor. The talk & tasting lasts around 1 hour and a half. The gardens are open for you to explore between 11 am and 5 pm - feel free to bring your own picnic. Our pop-up wine bar will be open throughout the day, offering wine by the bottle and glass. See below for further information about the garden.
The gardens of Chilworth Manor, a former monastery, features a terraced walled garden, herbaceous borders, topiary and fruit trees, stewponds, Japanese themed garden, woodland garden walk and many sculptures. Our pop-up wine bar will be open throughout the day and light snacks are available. In addition, and different from the usual National Garden Scheme's Open Days, you are welcome to bring your own picnic.
Children are welcome, but should be accompanied at all times. Entrance is free for under 16's. We are sorry, but no dogs please. Entry proceeds in aid of the National Garden Scheme.
Together with the other members of the Vineyards of the Surrey Hills - Albury, Denbies, Greyfriars and High Clandon - we are jointly organising events in our respective vineyards to celebrate English Wine Week and the beautiful wines available in the Surrey Hills.
Why not make a weekend of it and visit more than one vineyard!
You can find out here what unique offering the other vineyards have planned on 24 and 25 June.
