Winston's Walk

Welcome to Winston’s Walk. The walk is named after the much-loved Winston (pictured above) who moved to Chilworth in 2007. He was given his name as he combined the statesman-like presence of Winston (Churchill) with the laidback demeanour of Winston (the much beloved Jamaican bobsledder from Cool Runnings).

During the walk, you will see and learn about various nature sites and points of local historical significance. There is something for everyone, each point of interest includes a fact or question for children to get involved in too. When you reach the entrance to the Watch House Meadow vineyard, you can continue into the Cherry Garden Meadow vineyard for our extended route. Here you will enjoy a stunning view over the Surrey Hills from one of our oak benches made from wood from one of Chilworth’s trees which was brought down by a storm.

Both the regular and extended walk conclude near the entrance of the Watch House Meadow vineyard (Point 11). After completing the walk please come and see us at the cellar door where you can buy some of our wine to enjoy in your own time.
