Winston's Walk

Welcome to Winston’s Walk; named after the much-loved Winston (pictured above) who moved to Chilworth Manor in 2007. He was named after Winston Churchill, for his statesman-like persona, and Winston, the laidback Jamaican bobsledder from Cool Runnings.

During this walk, you will experience the history of Chilworth Manor and its vineyard as well as the natural environment of the area. There is something for everyone including fun facts and questions at every point of interest along the way.

When you reach the entrance to Watch House Vineyard, you can extend your walk up the hill into the Cherry Garden Vineyard. Here you will enjoy stunning views over the Surrey Hills from one of our benches. These benches have been created using the wood from the bough of one of our oak trees that was brought down by strong winds last summer.

If you would prefer a shorter, less hilly walk, turn right before you reach the gate you came through earlier and continue along the northside path of Watch House Vineyard.

Both tours conclude at the Cellar Door where you are welcome to purchase some of our wine to enjoy at home.
