Interested to help out during Harvest?
2024 has been a challenging year for all vineyards, but we are navigating through whatever nature throws at us.
Being at the mercy of the weather, we are patiently waiting for the ideal moment when the sugar and acidity levels of our grapes are just right, so we can harvest them at the perfect time.
We are in constant discussions with the winemaking team, collecting berry samples from across the vineyard and delivering them to the winery for testing. This helps us closely monitor the grapes' development and informs us of the best time to start the Harvest. We are still waiting to confirm when this year’s Harvest will begin, but it is looking likely to be in the week starting 21st October. We are aiming to confirm dates with a week's notice.
As in previous years, we’re inviting volunteers to come and join us in picking the grapes, most likely for a couple of days, during 2-3 weeks starting in mid-October. You will of course be rewarded for your generosity with a team lunch accompanied with Chilworth Manor Rosé, and cups of tea & cake.
Once we have a clearer idea of our expected harvest dates, we will send out an email with the ability to sign up for the respective dates.
