Surrey Day: 'Going Underground' at Chilworth Manor Vineyard

We’re delighted to be taking part in Surrey Day for the first time, opening the vineyard for a relaxed family-friendly day of community, learning, and great wine. In partnership with Visit Surrey, this is a day of celebrating all this beautiful county has to offer, in particular the rich and diverse history of Chilworth blended with viticulture here at the vineyard.

This year's theme is "Going Underground" which we're exploring through the lenses of Viticulture, Water Systems, the local Gunpowder Mills and 'Tin Town'.

This event is free to attend - just drop in on foot or book a parking space on our website.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

A programme of short talks by local experts and the vineyard team, exploring this year's theme of "Going Underground".

We'll have a relaxed, dog-friendly outdoor bar so you can drop in anytime between 11:30am - 3:30pm and grab a drink. It will be one of the first opportunities to try our 2025 Still Rosé, released on the 1st May!

Light nibbles, cheese and charcuterie will also be on offer from the bar so perhaps stop by for refreshment on a walk or cycle up to St Martha's? Alternatively we're just a short woodland walk from The Percy Arms in the village.

The vineyard gates will be open for you to enjoy 'Winston's Walk' - a self-guided walk around both the Watch House and Cherry Garden vineyard plots.

This promises to be a wonderful day celebrating Chilworth so whether you come for the talks, just want to grab a drink, or simply enjoy a walk through the vineyard, we'll look forward to welcoming you - see you there!
